At least 25 people were killed and 17 others injured in a bus accident in the Mexican state of Oaxaca on Wednesday afternoon.
The bus, operated by a local transport company, was en route from Mexico City to Santiago de Yosondua when it plunged into a ravine. The cause of the accident is not yet known, but authorities believe that it may have been due to driver error or mechanical failure.
The accident took place in the town of Magdalena Penasco, which is known for its mountainous terrain, isolated communities, and treacherous roads. The area has been the site of several bus accidents in recent years.
