At least 51 dead as migrant boat capsizes en route to Canary Islands

In a devastating incident, a boat carrying irregular migrants sank while attempting to reach Spain's Canary Islands from North Africa.
Out of the 55 people on board, a heartbreaking loss of life was reported, with 51 individuals tragically losing their lives. Four survivors were rescued and subsequently hospitalized.
Helena Maleno, a representative from the non-governmental organization (NGO) Caminando Fronteras, shared the distressing news on her Twitter account.
She revealed that the ill-fated boat departed from the shores of Tan Tan city in southern Morocco. Among the victims, 11 were women and 3 were children.
