China funds construction of 1,400-apartment complex in Kabul

A new residential project named Nilabagh is underway in Kabul, funded by a Chinese company with an investment of $71 million.
The project includes the construction of 1,400 apartments across 56 blocks and is expected to be completed within three years under the supervision of Afghanistan's Ministry of Urban Development and Land.
The opening ceremony was attended by high-ranking Afghan officials, including the acting Minister of Urban Development and Land, Hamdullah Nomani, and the deputy prime ministers for Economic Affairs and Administrative Affairs, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar and Abdul Salam Hanafi, respectively.
