The cumulative toll from the ongoing Israeli campaign, which began on October 7, 2023, has now reached 43,712 fatalities, with the majority reported to be women and children. The number of wounded has surpassed 103,258, with thousands of people still believed to be trapped under rubble or scattered across roadways, as ongoing airstrikes and widespread structural collapse hamper search and rescue operations.

Rescue efforts in Gaza face severe challenges due to unrelenting bombardments, blocked roads, and limited fuel and equipment supplies. Civil defense teams are struggling to reach affected areas, and the situation is further complicated by frequent interruptions of internet and communications, fuel shortages, and critical infrastructure damage.
