Egypt slams Israel’s genocidal war crimes in Gaza, demands global action

The Arab Republic of Egypt has issued a scathing condemnation of the Israeli occupation’s relentless war crimes against the Palestinian people, denouncing the continued targeting of civilians, hospitals, and vital infrastructure in the Gaza Strip as part of an ongoing campaign of genocide.
In a statement released Thursday evening, Egypt’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs accused the Israeli regime of committing "horrific crimes" against innocent and unarmed Palestinians, including the deliberate bombing of medical facilities and residential areas, in full view of a complicit international community.
“These atrocities by the occupying power flagrantly violate the core principles of international humanitarian law,” the statement declared, placing full responsibility on Israel for the deepening humanitarian catastrophe and regional instability.
Egypt further warned that the brutal military assault on Gaza, now in its seventh month, is not only a war on a besieged population but a direct assault on every principle of justice and morality. The government stressed that Israel’s actions — from carpet-bombing civilian neighborhoods to starving the population — are incompatible with the most basic tenets of human decency.
Citing the silence of many global powers, Egypt called out the international community’s failure to uphold its legal and moral duties. “This continued inaction only emboldens the occupation and prolongs the suffering of the Palestinian people,” the statement said, emphasizing the urgent need for concrete international accountability mechanisms to bring Israeli leaders to justice.
Egypt also renewed its demand for the immediate establishment of protective measures for Palestinians and the restoration of all usurped Palestinian rights, including the right of return, self-determination, and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.
The statement concluded with a powerful warning: “If the world fails to act decisively to halt these crimes, it risks the total collapse of the rules-based international order.”
As the Israeli occupation continues its brutal war on Gaza with Western backing, Egypt’s stance reinforces growing calls across the region for an end to normalization, a full boycott of the Zionist regime, and unwavering support for the Palestinian resistance. (ILKHA)
