Four Pakistani soldiers were killed and 15 others injured during a clash between security forces and militants in the northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, according to official sources.
The incident occurred on Sunday in the rugged Tirah Valley area of the Khyber tribal district, where security forces were conducting a search operation. Sources reported intermittent exchanges of fire throughout the day.
The injured troops received immediate medical assistance at the site before being transferred to a nearby military hospital for further treatment.
The Pakistani military has not yet issued an official statement regarding the incident. The Tirah Valley, located along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, has long been a focal point for counterinsurgency efforts due to its strategic location and history of militant activity. (ILKHA)
