Gaza genocide continues: 46 killed in 24 hours, emergency crews targeted

The death toll in the Gaza Strip has soared to a staggering 52,908, with more than 119,721 people wounded, as Israel’s ongoing genocidal assault on the besieged Palestinian territory enters its eighth month, Palestinian medical sources confirmed on Tuesday.
According to health officials, at least 46 Palestinians were killed and 73 others wounded in the last 24 hours alone, as Israeli forces continued their relentless bombardment across densely populated civilian areas. The vast majority of the victims, they noted, are women and children—underscoring the indiscriminate nature of the attacks.
Since the Israeli regime resumed its full-scale offensive on March 18 following a brief two-month truce, an additional 2,749 Palestinians have been killed and 7,607 wounded, further compounding the humanitarian catastrophe engulfing Gaza.
Health authorities warned that these figures may be significantly underreported, as emergency crews remain unable to reach large numbers of victims buried under rubble or stranded on roads due to Israeli attacks deliberately targeting ambulances, civil defense workers, and medical teams.
“Our medics are being killed while trying to save lives,” a spokesperson from the Ministry of Health in Gaza said. “Entire families are being annihilated, and countless bodies lie beneath collapsed buildings and in inaccessible zones under constant drone and artillery fire.”
The continuous bombardment has devastated Gaza’s already fragile healthcare system, leaving hospitals without power, medicine, or safe corridors for evacuation. With thousands of wounded requiring urgent surgeries and trauma care, doctors are being forced to operate without anesthesia or adequate equipment.
Human rights organizations have repeatedly denounced Israel’s targeting of civilians and emergency responders as violations of international law, with many calling for war crimes investigations into what has widely been described as a campaign of collective punishment and ethnic cleansing.
International calls for a ceasefire have so far failed to halt the carnage. In the meantime, the people of Gaza remain trapped under siege, subjected to daily airstrikes, starvation tactics, and a collapsed civil infrastructure, with no safe zones or escape routes amid one of the most brutal military campaigns in modern history.
As the toll mounts, survivors continue to dig through rubble with their bare hands, searching for loved ones. “We are witnessing a genocide in real time,” said one paramedic on the ground. “And the world is watching in silence.” (ILKHA)
