Hamas calls for global mobilisation against Israel’s genocide and starvation war on Gaza

The Hamas Movement has issued an urgent call for intensified worldwide mobilisation to confront what it describes as the “Zio-Nazi occupation’s terrorism” targeting Palestinian civilians, including women and children, in the Gaza Strip.
Hamas urged sustained international action to end Israel’s ongoing genocide and starvation war against the Palestinian people. It called on supporters across the globe to escalate protests in public squares and major cities during the coming weekend—Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (8–10 August)—and to maintain demonstrations beyond those dates.
The movement called for mass marches, sit-ins, and protests in front of Israeli, American, and pro-occupation embassies, demanding the immediate and unconditional opening of Gaza’s crossings and the unrestricted entry of humanitarian aid.
Hamas condemned what it called the “shameful silence” of the international community in the face of relentless Israeli bombing, targeted killings, and the tightening blockade. The statement stressed the urgent need to escalate global pressure until the siege is lifted and Israel’s military assault on Gaza is brought to an end.
“Raise your voices against international inaction,” the movement urged, adding that solidarity must continue “in all its forms and means” until the Palestinian people are free from the blockade and aggression. Hamas framed the call as a moral duty: “This is a moral obligation to defend human values, justice, and the Palestinian people’s right to freedom and independence.”
Famine Death Toll Rises
The appeal came as Gaza’s Ministry of Health confirmed that five more Palestinians had died from starvation-related causes on Wednesday, bringing the total number of deaths from famine to 197—among them at least 96 children.
One of the latest victims was young Alma Nasser, a girl from Beit Hanoun in northern Gaza, who succumbed to severe malnutrition and the absence of medical treatment. Her death underscores the accelerating humanitarian catastrophe as Israel continues to impose a complete blockade, cutting off food, water, and medical supplies from over two million besieged civilians.
Human rights organisations have repeatedly warned that Israel’s blockade and military actions amount to war crimes and crimes against humanity, yet no concrete international measures have been taken to halt the assault.
With the situation in Gaza deteriorating by the day, Hamas’s latest call seeks to rally global public opinion and grassroots movements into sustained action—turning outrage into pressure capable of forcing an end to the siege and saving lives. (ILKHA)
