Hamas urges worldwide solidarity for Palestinian detainees amid alarming israeli violations

Hamas has issued a call for a worldwide movement in solidarity with Palestinian prisoners, highlighting their crucial role in the ongoing struggle for Al-Aqsa.
The organization emphasized the prisoners' liberation from Israeli detention as a top priority, expressing gratitude for their sacrifices and steadfastness.
The statement, released on Wednesday, underscored the significance of the prisoners' cause in the broader context of the battle for Al-Aqsa, which Hamas described as a heroic struggle spanning over six months. It asserted that the liberation of Palestinian detainees remains central to the ongoing efforts to defend Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Hamas condemned the Israeli occupation's treatment of Palestinian prisoners, citing egregious violations such as solitary confinement, medical negligence, torture, and denial of basic rights. The organization vowed to pursue justice for these crimes, emphasizing that perpetrators will be held accountable regardless of the passage of time.
Furthermore, Hamas accused the Israeli prison administration of perpetrating heinous crimes against inmates, including medical negligence and direct killings. It noted that since October 7, 16 prisoners have lost their lives due to such atrocities.
The statement also condemned the Israeli army's actions in Gaza, alleging enforced disappearances and torture against residents of the Strip. Hamas called for immediate international intervention to halt these practices and secure the release of all Palestinian prisoners.
Hamas urged Palestinians, national factions, and supporters worldwide to unite in solidarity with the prisoners and intensify efforts to support their cause. It also called on Arab and Islamic nations, as well as human rights organizations, to mobilize in support of the prisoners' rights and hold Israeli authorities accountable for their actions.
As of the latest reports, more than 9,500 Palestinians are held in Israeli jails, including administrative detainees, journalists, women, children, and members of the Palestinian Legislative Council. (ILKHA)
