Iran’s Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmail Baghaei has denied claims that Elon Musk met with Iran’s ambassador to the United Nations, dismissing the reports as baseless.
In a statement to the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) on Saturday, Baghaei described the reports, which originated from U.S. media outlets, as “false” and expressed surprise over their widespread circulation.
“There has been no such meeting between Elon Musk and Ambassador Amir Saeed Iravani,” Baghaei stated, categorically rejecting the allegations.
The purported meeting had sparked speculation in various media circles, but Iran’s firm denial seeks to put an end to what it considers misinformation.
The spokesperson also criticized the role of American media in propagating the unsubstantiated claims, calling for more responsible reporting practices. (ILKHA)
