Iranian Culture Minister Seyyed Abbas Salehi expressed optimism on Sunday about enhancing cultural, artistic, and media relations with Saudi Arabia and Egypt, emphasizing the potential for strengthened regional ties.
Speaking at a press conference in Tehran, Salehi highlighted the progress made since the resumption of diplomatic relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia in April 2023. "Better horizons have emerged in bilateral ties," he remarked, noting the improved atmosphere for collaboration.
Salehi also addressed Iran's relationship with Egypt, stating that Tehran had established "good" political ties with Cairo. He underscored that relations between the two countries are moving "step by step" toward a more constructive and "appropriate" direction.
The formal restoration of diplomatic ties between Iran and Saudi Arabia in 2023 marked a significant development in regional diplomacy, paving the way for expanded cooperation in various sectors, including culture and the arts. Salehi's remarks signal a continued effort to build on these foundations to foster mutual understanding and collaboration. (ILKHA)
