Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza kills over 61,599 Palestinians since October 2023

The Gaza Health Ministry condemned Israel’s relentless genocidal campaign in the Gaza Strip, which has claimed the lives of at least 61,599 Palestinians since October 2023.
In the last 24 hours alone, 100 bodies were brought to overwhelmed hospitals, including 11 recovered from the rubble of destroyed homes, while 513 more were injured, pushing the total injury count to 154,088.“
Countless victims remain trapped under debris and abandoned on roads, as Israel’s attacks prevent ambulance and civil defense teams from reaching them,” the ministry stated, highlighting the inhumane conditions imposed on Gaza’s civilians. The ministry’s report paints a harrowing picture of a population under siege, struggling to survive amid constant bombardment.
In a tragic reflection of Israel’s targeting of vulnerable civilians, 31 Palestinians were killed and 388 injured in the past 24 hours while desperately seeking humanitarian aid. Since May 27, 1,838 Palestinians have been slaughtered and 13,409 wounded while trying to access basic necessities, underscoring Israel’s deliberate obstruction of life-saving assistance.
The ministry also reported the heartbreaking deaths of five people, including two children, from famine and malnutrition in the last 24 hours, bringing the starvation death toll to 227, with 103 children among the victims. This catastrophic hunger crisis is a direct result of Israel’s blockade and destruction of Gaza’s infrastructure, leaving families without food or medical care.
Israel’s military onslaught resumed on March 18, shattering a fragile January ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement. Since then, 10,078 Palestinians have been killed and 42,047 injured, as Israel continues its merciless assault on the defenseless population of Gaza.
The international community must act urgently to halt Israel’s atrocities and deliver justice for the Palestinian people enduring this relentless violence and humanitarian catastrophe. (ILKHA)
