Israel’s ruthless siege on Jenin enters 57th day: Homes razed, families displaced

The Israeli occupation forces have relentlessly pressed their savage aggression against the resilient city of Jenin and its refugee camp for the 57th consecutive day, leaving a trail of destruction, displacement, and despair in their wake.
At dawn on Tuesday, Zionist troops stormed the eastern neighborhood of Jenin, entrenching themselves in the German neighborhood and Wadi Ezzedine, while continuing their campaign of razing and burning Palestinian homes and transforming others into military outposts.
On Monday morning, a massive contingent of occupation vehicles, backed by military bulldozers, invaded Jenin camp, tearing through its neighborhoods to widen roads and pave new ones—acts of deliberate devastation aimed at crushing the spirit of its residents. The Jenin Municipality reports that the occupation has forcibly displaced the inhabitants of 3,200 homes in the camp, shattering families and plunging the city’s economy into a steep decline. Poverty rates have soared as the Israeli siege strangles the livelihoods of Jenin’s steadfast population.
By evening, the streets of Jenin camp echoed with the rumble of occupation tanks patrolling Haifa Street and the camp’s perimeter, a grim reminder of the Zionist forces’ iron grip. Military reinforcements, accompanied by water tanks and armored vehicles, continued to pour into the area, escalating the oppression. In a further outrage, Israeli authorities ordered the evacuation of 120 dunams of land in the town of Jalboun, east of Jenin, while storming the home of Ghaleb Abu al-Rab, expelling him and his family to convert their sanctuary into yet another military barracks.
The relentless aggression on Jenin stands as a stark testament to the Israeli occupation’s systematic campaign to uproot and terrorize the Palestinian people. Yet, amidst the destruction, the residents of Jenin and its camp endure, their resistance unbroken in the face of this unrelenting Zionist brutality. (ILKHA)
