The Israeli occupation forces have continued their military assault on the city of Jenin and its refugee camp for the seventeenth consecutive day, resulting in the deaths of at least 25 Palestinians and leaving dozens injured.
According to the media committee of Jenin camp, the relentless assault has displaced approximately 15,000 citizens and led to the destruction of 180 homes. The aggression has caused severe disruptions to basic services, leading to the closure of schools and the deprivation of four hospitals of water. Residents of Jenin are facing dire conditions due to the interruption of water and electricity supplies.
The IOF has maintained a siege on Jenin Governmental Hospital, bulldozing its entrance and the main road leading to it. For the seventeenth consecutive day, hospital departments are grappling with a severe shortage of potable water. The Jenin Municipality, in collaboration with the civil defense, is attempting to deliver water to the hospital using small agricultural tractors, as the occupation forces have blocked civil defense water tankers from entering the facility.
In a statement, Jenin Governor Kamal Abu al-Rab highlighted the catastrophic impact of the aggression, noting that the geometric and demographic shape of the camp will change completely due to the explosions within it. Jenin Mayor Muhammad Jarar echoed these concerns, describing the situation in Jenin as catastrophic, with the city facing complete paralysis in all aspects of life.
The continued aggression underscores the urgent need for international intervention to address the humanitarian crisis unfolding in Jenin and to protect the rights and lives of Palestinian civilians. (ILKHA)
