Israeli forces detain 45 Palestinians in West Bank raids, deport 32 foreign activists

Israeli occupation forces carried out a wave of overnight raids across several cities in the occupied West Bank, detaining 45 Palestinians and expelling 32 international activists who had been assisting local farmers during the olive harvest.
According to the Palestinian news agency WAFA, the raids targeted multiple areas including Hebron, Qalqilya, Tulkarm, Nablus, Tubas, Jenin, East Jerusalem, and Al-Bireh.
In Hebron, occupation forces set up military checkpoints, stormed several homes, and detained 45 Palestinians, including a child and a number of former prisoners.
Eyewitnesses reported that several Palestinians were beaten during the raids. Since Israel began its large-scale offensive on Gaza on October 8, 2023, arrests and military incursions in the West Bank and East Jerusalem have sharply increased.
Meanwhile, Israeli authorities deported 32 foreign activists who had been helping Palestinian farmers in the olive harvest season. According to Anadolu Agency, the activists were accused of “interfering in security operations” and were forced to leave the country.
Palestinian human rights groups have condemned the ongoing mass arrests and deportations, saying they reflect Israel’s attempts to suppress solidarity and further tighten its grip on the occupied territories.(ILKHA)
