Orphans Foundation holds charity bazaar in Batman to support needy families

A charity bazaar organized by the Batman branch of the Orphans Foundation (Yetimler Vakfı) in the Gercüş district has drawn strong participation from local residents, with all proceeds set to be donated to orphaned and needy families.
The event, held under the coordination of the Orphans Foundation’s Batman Representation Office, aimed to raise funds for orphaned and fatherless families while promoting community solidarity and social inclusion.
Organizers highlighted that the fair was unique this year, as orphan families and their children actively took part in preparing and managing the event. Stalls featured handmade crafts, homemade foods, and a variety of gift items, all produced with care and dedication by local participants.
Musab İmir, the Batman Representative of the Orphans Foundation, emphasized that the bazaar’s purpose went beyond collecting donations. “Our goal with this bazaar is not only to provide financial assistance but also to ensure that our orphan families take part in this process with their own efforts and handiwork,” he said. “All proceeds will once again be used for their benefit.”
İmir also noted that such community events play a crucial role in strengthening social ties, fostering compassion, and empowering orphan families to take a more active role in public life.
The Orphans Foundation continues to carry out similar charitable activities across Türkiye, aiming to extend support and hope to orphans and families in need. (ILKHA)
