Israeli forces detain over 20 Palestinians in West Bank raids

Israeli forces detained at least 21 Palestinians, including a 15-year-old boy, during coordinated military raids across multiple areas of the West Bank early Wednesday, local and security sources reported.
In Hebron, 15 Palestinians were taken into custody after Israeli troops raided homes, ransacked property, and reportedly physically assaulted residents. Military checkpoints were established at the entrances to Hebron and surrounding towns, villages, and refugee camps, with several roads blocked using iron gates, cement barriers, and earth mounds.
In Nablus, three residents were detained at dawn from the villages of Burqa and Salem. According to sources, troops raided homes, conducted field interrogations, assaulted one resident in Burqa, and later detained two others in Salem. Homes and a mosque in the Al-Ma’ajin neighborhood of Nablus were also stormed during the operations.
In the Ramallah area, Israeli forces arrested a 60-year-old resident from the Umm Al-Sharayet neighborhood in Al-Bireh after searching his home. Similar raids in the city of Tubas led to the detention of two young men.
Additionally, a 15-year-old boy was detained from Kafr Ra’i, south of Jenin, following a raid on his family’s home, according to the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS).
These arrests reflect ongoing Israeli military operations in the West Bank, which Palestinian sources say have intensified in recent weeks amid heightened tensions in the region. (ILKHA)
