Israeli occupation forces have maintained a tight siege on the city of Tulkarm and its refugee camp for the seventh consecutive day, intensifying their military assault and escalating attacks on homes, infrastructure, and medical facilities.
According to local sources, Israeli troops, accompanied by police dogs, raided multiple neighborhoods in Tulkarm overnight, searching homes and interrogating residents. No arrests were reported.
Israeli reinforcements were deployed to further tighten the blockade on Tulkarm and its refugee camp. Thabet Thabet Government Hospital and Al-Israa Specialist Hospital remain under siege, preventing ambulances and medical teams from operating.
Eyewitnesses reported a heavy Israeli military presence, with infantry forces and snipers stationed on rooftops of residential and commercial buildings, particularly in the central market and the western and eastern districts.
Inside Tulkarm refugee camp, Israeli forces intensified their siege, deploying heavily armed units throughout the alleys. Snipers occupied high-rise buildings, and residents were forced to evacuate at gunpoint.
The military operation has led to the demolition of homes and commercial shops, particularly in the Sawalmeh and Hammam neighborhoods, with Israeli bulldozers leveling structures. Witnesses described Israeli soldiers breaking into dozens of homes, destroying furniture, and drilling holes in walls to move between adjacent buildings.
Terrified families, including children, women, and the elderly, were forced to flee their homes under threat of violence. The Israeli army has also seized more high-rise buildings, turning them into sniper outposts, while infantry units spread across narrow alleys to further tighten control over the camp.
The ongoing assault has resulted in widespread destruction of infrastructure, cutting off water, electricity, internet, and telecommunications services. The blockade has also triggered severe shortages of food, medicine, drinking water, and baby formula, leaving residents in desperate conditions.
Amid the siege, more Palestinian families have been forcibly displaced after Israeli forces expelled them from their homes and warned them against returning.
The situation in Tulkarm remains dire, as Israeli forces continue to escalate their military operations, deepening the humanitarian crisis in the besieged city and refugee camp. (ILKHA)
