The Deputy Minister of Culture of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Mawlavi Atiqullah Azizi, met with UNAMA’s General Representative in Afghanistan Markus Potzel, and UNESCO’s Special Representative.

UNAMA Special Representative Markus Potzel thanked the Ministry of Information and Culture for its efforts, especially for maintaining good relations with international cultural institutions.

He said Afghanistan is a very rich country in terms of history and there are not only historical monuments of Afghans but monuments of international common history.

Azizi, deputy minister of Culture, asked them to help Afghanistan in preventing, protecting, and preventing the smuggling of historical relics.
