Japanese fighter jet crashes off Ibaraki coast during training exercise

A Japanese Air Self-Defense Force F2 fighter jet crashed off the coast of Ibaraki Prefecture in eastern Japan during a training exercise on Thursday, according to public broadcaster NHK.
The lone pilot ejected from the aircraft and was rescued, with NHK reporting that the pilot’s condition is not life-threatening.
