Millions of Yemenis march for Gaza: "No security for Israel while Palestine bleeds"

Millions of Yemenis flooded the streets of Sana’a and over 500 locations across 14 provinces on Friday in massive demonstrations denouncing Israel’s ongoing military assault on Gaza and the repeated violations at Jerusalem’s Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Held under the banner “No security for the entity (as long as) Gaza and Al-Aqsa are under attack,” the nationwide protests showcased Yemen’s steadfast solidarity with the Palestinian cause and growing regional outrage over the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza.
In the capital Sana’a, demonstrators filled al-Sab’een Street, waving Yemeni and Palestinian flags while chanting slogans against Israel. Protesters condemned the desecration of Al-Aqsa Mosque by Israeli settlers, as well as recent public insults directed at the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family).
Protest organizers issued a statement urging Arab and Muslim nations to intensify pressure on Israel through grassroots mobilization and economic boycotts. The statement affirmed Yemen’s unwavering support for the Palestinian people and warned Israel that attempts to intimidate Yemen into silence would fail.
“The most foolish idea is thinking you can pressure us to abandon Gaza,” the statement read, vowing that Israeli strikes on Yemeni territory would only deepen the nation’s resolve.
Calls were also made to the Yemeni Armed Forces to continue their military pressure on Israel. “Do not allow the occupier a single moment of security while Gaza is under genocide and Al-Aqsa under attack,” protest leaders declared.
In a televised address, Ansar Allah leader Abdul-Malik al-Houthi reiterated Yemen’s commitment to the Palestinian struggle. He condemned Israel’s recent attack on Sana’a International Airport, stating it would not deter Yemen’s escalating military response in defense of Gaza.
In a related announcement, the Yemeni Armed Forces claimed responsibility for a military operation targeting Lod Airport (Ben Gurion International Airport) in Israel. Officials pledged continued operations in support of the Palestinian resistance.
Friday’s mass mobilization marked one of Yemen’s largest coordinated protests in recent years, reflecting widespread anger over Israel’s actions in Gaza and renewed calls for Arab unity against occupation and aggression. (ILKHA)
