Muslim Scholars reject forced displacement of Gazans

The International Union of Muslim Scholars (IUMS) has issued a strong statement rejecting any attempts to displace the people of Gaza, deeming such actions as violations of divine laws, international laws, and humanitarian principles.
In their statement, the IUMS condemned proposals, reportedly backed by then-President Trump, to forcibly relocate Gaza's inhabitants to Egypt, Jordan, and other locations. The Union highlighted that such moves undermine the will of the Palestinian people and impose foreign agendas.
The IUMS emphasized the following points in their statement:
1-Rejection of Displacement: The Union categorically rejects any attempts to displace the people of Gaza or the West Bank, labeling such actions as violations of divine and international laws. The Union asserts that these actions reward the "Zionist occupier" for its acts of destruction and brutality and calls for the occupier to be expelled and held accountable for crimes against humanity.
2-Condemnation of Imposed Projects: The Union denounces any political or social projects forced upon the Palestinian people, asserting their legitimate right to choose their own leadership and governance.
3-Call for Expulsion of Occupiers: The Union calls for the expulsion of Zionist occupiers from all occupied Palestinian lands, including Gaza, Jerusalem, and the West Bank, emphasizing this as a religious, legal, national, and humanitarian duty.
4-Appeal to the Islamic Ummah: The Union urges the Islamic Ummah and the global community to reject any projects aimed at displacing Palestinians and to work towards the removal of occupiers from Palestinian lands.
5-Prohibition of Displacement Plans: The Union reaffirms the prohibition of displacement plans, labeling them as betrayals of God and future generations. Those who approve such plans will be held accountable before God.
The statement concludes with a reminder from the Quran: "And Allah has full control over His affairs, but most people do not know." [Surah Yusuf: 21] (ILKHA)
