Palestinian fighters hit Israeli occupation forces in southern Gaza

Palestinian Resistance factions carried out a series of bold operations on Wednesday, striking Israeli occupation forces in multiple areas across the besieged Gaza Strip and inflicting confirmed casualties.
In a joint announcement, the Al-Qassam Brigades — the armed wing of Hamas — confirmed that its fighters launched a barrage of 107mm rockets targeting concentrations of Israeli forces near the Murajja junction, south of Khan Younis. The operation, conducted in coordination with the Al-Mujahideen Brigades of the Palestinian Mujahideen Movement, was described as part of a “coordinated resistance campaign” to repel the occupation’s ground advances.
Meanwhile, the Al-Quds Brigades — the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) — announced that its fighters successfully destroyed an Israeli military vehicle during a daring raid in the al-Maghraqa area of central Gaza. According to their statement, the strike was executed using a sophisticated explosively formed penetrator (EFP) that had been planted in advance, demonstrating the Resistance’s growing technical capabilities and tactical precision.
Earlier in the day, Al-Quds Brigades military media released video footage showing their fighters bombarding Israeli forces and armored vehicles with mortar shells in Khan Younis, forcing enemy troops to retreat under fire.
Israeli media acknowledged casualties, reporting that a military helicopter was dispatched to Beilinson Hospital to evacuate the wounded. The same reports indicated that Resistance fighters attempted to strike a Merkava tank with an explosive device, underlining the continued vulnerability of Israeli armor inside Gaza.
These latest operations come as Israeli occupation forces escalate their brutal campaign against Gaza City, expanding ground incursions into densely populated neighborhoods and subjecting civilians to heavy bombardment and house-to-house raids. Palestinian health officials and eyewitnesses have reported widespread destruction and dozens of casualties among residents, warning of a looming humanitarian catastrophe.
Despite the overwhelming military power wielded by the occupation, Palestinian factions insist that their armed struggle will continue until the siege is broken and the aggressors are expelled. “Our fighters are standing firm in every street, every alley,” one Resistance source said. “The occupier will not find safety in our land.” (ILKHA)
