A 73-year-old Palestinian man, Waleed Lahlouh, was killed by Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Sunday morning in Jenin refugee camp, located in the northern West Bank.
The Red Crescent confirmed that its ambulance crew evacuated Lahlouh's body to a Jenin City hospital after he was shot at the camp's main entrance.
According to his family, Lahlouh had gone to his home in the camp to retrieve some personal belongings when he was fatally shot by an IOF sniper positioned inside a nearby residence. The Palestinian health ministry identified Lahlouh as the latest victim, bringing the total number of Palestinians killed by Israeli forces in Jenin province to 25 since the start of the IOF operation 13 days ago.
The IOF's operation in Jenin continues, with reports of more families being forced to evacuate their homes. Local officials estimate that approximately 100 homes have been completely destroyed by Israeli forces during the ongoing operation within the refugee camp.
The destruction has extended to critical infrastructure, with hospitals and 35% of Jenin City residents reporting an urgent need for water after IOF actions damaged water pipelines in their neighborhoods. The situation is further exacerbating the already difficult conditions for residents of Jenin. (ILKHA)
