Sheikh Kamal al-Khatib, head of the Freedoms Committee in 1948 occupied Palestinian lands, has affirmed that the Aqsa Mosque needs to be purged of the occupation’s blasphemy and the virus of Judaization and settlement.
In recent press remarks, Sheikh Khatib called on the Palestinian people to be vigilant and not to lose sight of the Aqsa Mosque, expressing his confidence of their ability to frustrate any attempt to establish “suspicious footholds in the Mosque.”
He applauded Jordan for “defending the Aqsa Mosque and upholding its position regarding this issue that concerns all Muslims.”
“The Aqsa Mosque will remain Islamic and the Masra (nocturnal destination) of Prophet Muhammad peace — blessings and peace be upon him — and there will be no structure or temple for the Jews,” he underlined.
He warned against attempts by some suspicious parties to tamper with the Aqsa Mosque through holding meetings with the Israeli occupation in order to gain a foothold for themselves in the Mosque.” (ILKHA)
