Switzerland delivers 20 tons of relief aid to quake-affected families in Afghanistan

The Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) has delivered 20 tons of non-food relief items to the Afghan Red Crescent Society (ARCS) to assist families affected by the recent earthquake in Kunar province.
The aid shipment was handed over at Kabul International Airport by SDC Deputy Head of Office Stata Kiss and advisor Ahmad Saleem to Mohammad Saleh Akhundzada, head of ARCS disaster management.
Akhundzada thanked Switzerland for its timely humanitarian support, stressing that the aid would be distributed transparently and fairly to quake-affected families in Kunar.
Speaking at the ceremony, Kiss reaffirmed Switzerland’s commitment to stand with Afghanistan in times of crisis. “Switzerland seeks to respond whenever natural disasters strike Afghanistan, and we will continue to support efforts to improve the situation of quake victims in Kunar,” she said.
The relief package consists of 310 tents and 300 packages of winter clothing, which will soon be distributed among families left homeless or vulnerable in the disaster-hit areas.
The powerful earthquake struck several districts of Kunar province earlier this month, causing significant damage to homes and infrastructure and leaving many families in urgent need of shelter and basic necessities. (ILKHA)

HÜDA PAR has sharply denounced the Israeli regime’s recent strike on a Hamas negotiating delegation in Doha, describing it as a new phase of Israel’s genocidal war on the Palestinian people and a provocation directed at the entire Islamic world.
The attempt, described by Hamas as “cowardly” and by international observers as a flagrant breach of sovereignty, failed to kill the movement’s top leadership—but claimed the lives of several close aides and a Qatari security officer.
