The number of deaths from coronavirus pandemic has risen to 7,564 in Iran after 56 new deaths were reported, the country’s Health Ministry Spokesman Kianoush Jahanpour announced on Wednesday.
2,080 more people have tested positive for coronavirus, taking the number of confirmed cases to 141,591 in the country, according to Kianoush Jahanpour.
2,551 patients are in critical condition and of those suffering from the disease, 111,176 patients have gained recovery.
So far, 856,546 tests have been taken across the country to detect infected cases.
According to Worldometer, which is a reference website that provides counters and real-time statistics for diverse topics, the global death toll from coronavirus has surpassed 353,621 with 5,727,522 cases and more than 2,460,841 recoveries. (ILKHA)
