An Israeli airstrike on Wednesday morning targeted a neighborhood in Tamun, southeast of Tubas, resulting in the deaths of three Palestinian civilians, including two children.
The victims were identified as Rida Bisharat, 9, Hamza Bisharat, 10, and Adam Bisharat, 23.
Local sources reported that the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) conducted the airstrike as the victims were near their homes. Following the attack, the IOF reportedly seized the bodies of the deceased and blocked ambulance access to the area, preventing emergency services from providing aid.
The airstrike was part of a broader military operation in Tamun town, where the IOF deployed snipers and soldiers in residential neighborhoods and carried out raids on multiple homes. Witnesses described heightened tensions as troops moved through the area, adding to fears among residents.
In a related development, the IOF also stormed Tubas City and Aqqaba town, detaining three Palestinian citizens from their homes. The reasons for the arrests and the identities of those taken into custody were not immediately disclosed.
The airstrike and subsequent military actions have drawn sharp criticism from local and international observers, who have expressed concerns over the targeting of civilians, including children.
This latest escalation adds to the ongoing violence and unrest in the West Bank, further straining an already volatile situation. (ILKHA)
