In a devastating car pile-up on a highway in southwestern Iran, six individuals have tragically lost their lives, while 25 others have sustained injuries.
The incident, involving a collision of 26 vehicles, occurred on Friday, as reported by local sources.
The calamity unfolded around 10:50 a.m. local time in the province of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province on Yasouj-Shiraz Road, sending shockwaves through the region.

Preliminary statements provided by the driver to law enforcement indicate that a brake malfunction caused him to lose control of the vehicle, resulting in the truck plowing into surrounding cars and unsuspecting pedestrians.
The injured victims have been promptly transported to the renowned Yasouj University Hospital, where medical professionals are working tirelessly to provide essential care. Some of the wounded individuals are reported to be in critical condition, further highlighting the severity of the tragic event.
