Donald Trump has once again issued threats of unleashing "hell" on Gaza, following the Palestinian Resistance's response to Israel's repeated breaches of the ceasefire agreement.
Speaking to reporters, Trump declared that if the Israeli captives in Gaza were not freed by noon on Saturday, he would "let all hell break loose." However, he clarified that the final decision rested with the Israeli government. "I'm speaking for myself. Israel can override it," he stated.
This is not the first instance of such threats from Trump. Last December, before taking office, he had vowed to bring destruction to Gaza if the captives were not released by January 20, 2024. Despite this, Trump's administration approved a ceasefire agreement that allowed for the phased release of Israeli captives and Palestinian detainees.
Trump's latest threat comes after the Palestinian Resistance decided to withhold a group of captives scheduled for release on Saturday. The Resistance's move was in response to the Israeli regime's continuous violations of the ceasefire agreement, including failure to deliver promised humanitarian aid to Gaza and carrying out multiple attacks against Palestinians.
Abu Obeida, the spokesperson for Hamas' al-Qassam Brigades, emphasized that the Palestinian Resistance remained committed to the terms of the ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement, but only if the Israeli authorities adhered to the same. (ILKHA)
