Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan met with his Pakistani counterpart, Mohammad Ishaq Dar, in Istanbul on Monday ahead of a high-level ministerial meeting focusing on the ongoing Israeli aggression in Gaza.
The meeting took place prior to a regional diplomatic gathering hosted by Türkiye to discuss the deteriorating humanitarian situation in Gaza and possible joint steps to help end the Israeli occupation’s attacks on the besieged Palestinian enclave.
The Gaza-focused meeting, organized under the leadership of Minister Fidan, brought together the foreign ministers of the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Qatar, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Jordan. The discussions aimed to strengthen coordination among Muslim nations and emphasize the urgent need for an immediate and lasting ceasefire.
During their bilateral talks, Fidan and Dar exchanged views on efforts to halt the Israeli regime’s violations against civilians in Gaza and to ensure the uninterrupted delivery of humanitarian aid. Both ministers reaffirmed their countries’ shared commitment to supporting the Palestinian people and defending their legitimate rights under international law.
The diplomatic meeting in Istanbul underscores Türkiye’s ongoing initiatives to mobilize regional and international efforts toward achieving justice and stability in Palestine. (ILKHA)
