Two resistance fighters martyred in armed clashes with Israeli forces in West Bank

Two Palestinian resistance fighters were martyred at dawn Thursday after fierce clashes with the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) in the town of Tammun, south of Tubas in the northern occupied West Bank.
Local sources identified the martyrs as Mohamed Qasem and Alaa Suleiman, both of whom bravely confronted invading IOF troops. Following the clashes, occupation forces seized their bodies, denying their families the right to bury them with dignity.
The confrontation erupted after Israeli forces surrounded a house in the Ras al-Mutillah neighborhood of Tammun. Witnesses said occupation troops fired multiple shoulder-launched missiles at the home and deployed a drone to bombard it, causing extensive destruction.
Military reinforcements, including armored vehicles, bulldozers, and surveillance drones, stormed the area as the clashes intensified, imposing a state of siege on the town.
The martyrdom of Qasem and Suleiman comes amid an intensifying Israeli campaign of raids, assassinations, and demolitions across the West Bank. Palestinian factions hailed their sacrifice as a continuation of the resistance against the occupation and a reminder of the heavy price being paid in the struggle for freedom.
Residents of Tammun described the operation as part of Israel’s ongoing policy of collective punishment, where entire neighborhoods are subjected to bombardment and destruction in pursuit of resistance fighters.
Despite the brutality of the IOF assault, locals emphasized that the blood of the martyrs will only strengthen the determination of the Palestinian people to continue resisting until liberation. (ILKHA)
