The United Nations has strongly condemned Israel for consistently obstructing humanitarian aid deliveries to the besieged northern Gaza Strip.
In a press briefing on Tuesday, UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric stated that Israeli authorities have denied or impeded 38 out of 40 UN-led aid missions to the region since the beginning of December.
These missions aimed to deliver essential supplies such as food and water to the besieged areas of Beit Lahiya, Beit Hanoun, and parts of Jabalia.
Dujarric emphasized the urgent need to protect civilians in northern Gaza and called upon Israel to allow unimpeded access for humanitarian aid organizations to reach those in need.
He stressed that denying essential humanitarian assistance to civilians is a grave violation of international humanitarian law. (ILKHA)
