The United Nations has voiced its opposition to any violation of Syria’s territorial integrity following recent Israeli strikes on Syrian territory.
In a press briefing on Tuesday, U.N. Secretary-General António Guterres’s spokesperson, Stéphane Dujarric, condemned the attacks and called for respect for Syria's sovereignty.
“We’re against these types of attacks,” Dujarric stated. “I think this is a turning point for Syria. It should not be used by its neighbors to encroach on the territory of Syria.”
The remarks come amid escalating tensions in the region, with international observers expressing concern over the potential for further destabilization. The U.N.'s stance underscores its commitment to preserving Syria's territorial integrity and urging restraint from all neighboring states. (ILKHA)
