The United Nations has issued a stark warning about the deteriorating humanitarian situation in Gaza, where over two million Palestinians face life-threatening conditions due to an ongoing Israeli blockade and conflict.

Muhannad Hadi, the UN's Humanitarian Coordinator for the Occupied Palestinian Territory, highlighted the critical shortages of food, water, fuel, and medical supplies in a statement released today. He described the humanitarian situation as "dire," with civilians pushed "to the edge of survival."

"For the past six weeks, Israeli occupation authorities have blocked the importation of vital commercial goods, intensifying the already desperate conditions in Gaza," Hadi stated. "The lives of more than two million Palestinians are on the brink."
