United States: Three dead in small airplane crash near Boca Raton, Florida

Three people were killed, and another individual was hospitalized following a small airplane crash near I-95 on Tri-Rail tracks in Boca Raton on Friday morning, authorities confirmed.
The crash occurred around 10:20 a.m. when a Cessna 310, which had departed from Boca Raton Airport, was en route to Tallahassee International Airport. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) reported that the aircraft crashed shortly after takeoff.
Michael LaSalle, Assistant Chief of the Boca Raton Fire Department, confirmed that all three individuals onboard the aircraft were killed. Additionally, one person was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, possibly sustained while driving through the fireball caused by the crash.
Both the FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) have launched investigations into the circumstances of the crash.
In a statement following the incident, Boca Raton Mayor Scott Singer expressed deep sorrow for the victims' families and praised the quick response from local emergency services.
“Our hearts are heavy today with this tragic loss of life,” Mayor Singer said. “Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families and all affected. We are grateful for the swift actions of the Boca Raton Fire Rescue Department and Police Department, as well as our partnerships with other public safety agencies.”
