The United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) highlighted on Tuesday the dire situation in Gaza after 200 days of ısraeli genocidal aggression, emphasizing the extensive destruction and severe damage to critical infrastructure.
According to UNRWA, the process of clearing debris and rebuilding the embattled Strip will require years of effort.
In a social media post, the agency underscored the widespread devastation in Gaza, stating that critical infrastructure has suffered immense damage. Over a million people have lost their homes, with 75% of the population displaced as a result of the conflict.
Analysts worldwide have characterized Israel's genocidal war on Gaza as one of the bloodiest and most devastating conflicts in recent memory. Despite claims by the Israeli regime to prioritize civilian lives, the death toll and extent of destruction suggest otherwise.
Last Wednesday, UNRWA reported that the war has left approximately 23 million tons of rubble and unexploded weapons scattered throughout the area. The destruction of schools, hospitals, and civilian infrastructure has profoundly affected the lives of over two million people.
On March 9, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi estimated that the cost of Gaza's recovery from Israeli bombardment stands at $90 billion. (ILKHA)
