Sayyed Abdul Malek al-Houthi, leader of Yemen's Ansar Allah movement, detailed a series of military operations conducted by Yemeni forces over the past week.
Among these, he highlighted a significant attack targeting the U.S. aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman.
Al-Houthi stated that Yemeni forces launched 11 cruise missiles and deployed a drone against the USS Truman, marking the second such operation against this vessel. He claimed that this offensive thwarted a planned large-scale U.S. operation against Yemen, resulting in the retreat of the carrier and its accompanying naval vessels to the northern Red Sea.
Additionally, al-Houthi reported the downing of two U.S. MQ-9 drones in the Al-Bayda and Ma'rib regions, emphasizing the significance of these actions against advanced U.S. reconnaissance technology.
Addressing the broader regional context, al-Houthi reaffirmed Yemen's unwavering stance against Israeli aggression and expressed support for the Palestinian cause. He noted that recent missile strikes from Gaza demonstrate resilience and serve as a testament to the failure of the Israeli occupation.
The Ansar Allah leader also criticized the Palestinian Authority, describing its engagement in internal conflicts within the West Bank as detrimental to the Palestinian cause. He cautioned against relying on negotiations with Israel or expecting resolutions from the United Nations Security Council, citing a lack of tangible outcomes from numerous meetings.
Al-Houthi concluded by emphasizing Yemen's resilience and the development of its military capabilities in response to external aggression, particularly from the United States and its allies. He underscored the nation's commitment to supporting oppressed peoples and confronting adversaries, regardless of the challenges faced. (ILKHA)
