Türkiye emerging as a “strong center” amid global uncertainty: Vice President Yılmaz
Türkiye is positioning itself as a reliable “strong center” in an increasingly uncertain global economy, Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz said during remarks at the Vision 100 Istanbul Summit.
In statements shared on social media following the summit, Yılmaz said participants discussed the future of the global economy against the backdrop of geopolitical fractures, trade wars, artificial intelligence-driven transformation and shifting production balances.
He noted that the meetings included comprehensive evaluations of how countries are adapting to a rapidly changing international economic environment marked by instability and strategic competition.
Highlighting Türkiye’s economic outlook, Yılmaz stressed that the country stands out through its strong macroeconomic structure, strategic geographic position, industrial production capacity and investment-oriented reform agenda.
“At a time when uncertainties are increasing globally, Türkiye is emerging as a trusted and strong center,” Yılmaz said, adding that the government’s economic policies continue in line with this vision.
He also emphasized that under the leadership of Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Türkiye aims to strengthen its role in global value chains through policies focused on investment, production, exports and finance.
According to Yılmaz, the country’s long-term economic strategy seeks to expand industrial competitiveness, attract international investment and deepen integration into regional and global trade networks.
He expressed hope that the Vision 100 Istanbul Summit would contribute to new partnerships, economic cooperation and investment opportunities for both Türkiye and international stakeholders.
The summit brought together business representatives, economists and policymakers to discuss emerging trends shaping the future of the world economy, including supply chain restructuring, technological transformation and regional economic resilience. (ILKHA)
