Islamic scholar urges Muslims to strengthen Islamic unity at Batman Mawlid
The Prophet Lovers Foundation (Peygamber Sevdalıları Vakfı) organized a large Mawlid al-Nabi gathering in Batman to honor the birth of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and reflect on his teachings and Sunnah.
The event, organized by the Prophet Lovers Foundation (Peygamber Sevdalıları Vakfı), took place at the Mawlid Area near the city bus terminal and was held under the theme “Our Leader of Unity and Salvation, Prophet Muhammad.” Families, children, and participants from various regions filled the area, creating a vast gathering marked by recitations, hymns, and speeches.
The program opened with Qur’an recitations, followed by nasheeds (Islamic hymns) and religious talks emphasizing moral conduct, unity among believers, and the importance of following the Prophet’s example in daily life. Many attendees expressed emotional devotion as verses and praises were recited.
Speaking to Ilke News Agency (ILKHA) during the celebration, İTTİHADUL ULEMA President Molla Enver Kılıçarslan emphasized that the purpose of such events is to keep alive the love for Allah, His Prophet, and the believers—a love that defines the very essence of faith.
“Citizens attend these organizations to demonstrate their love for Allah, the Prophet, and Muslims,” Kılıçarslan said. “These events are vital for keeping our societal and spiritual memory alive.”

Drawing directly from the teachings of the Prophet (peace be upon him), Kılıçarslan outlined the signs of authentic faith: “The Prophet (peace be upon him) stated: ‘The signs of faith are three: love for Allah, love for the Prophets, and love for the believers.’ If a person loves Allah, His Prophets, and the believers, these are the signs of being a true Muslim. The fourth sign is that if we do not want to enter disbelief and Hellfire, we must possess these qualities.”
He then contrasted this standard of faith with the actions of contemporary oppressors.
“Today, the signs of faith have become clearly visible in Israel and America,” Kılıçarslan declared. “Because Israel and the USA are brutally killing Muslims—women, children, and the elderly—without distinction. They are bombing schools, madrasas, and hospitals, killing the people inside.”
Citing the Holy Qur’an, Kılıçarslan reminded the gathering of the divine warning regarding enmity toward Muslims: “Allah Almighty states in the Qur’an: ‘The greatest enemies of the believers are the Jews.’ Despite this noble verse, whoever loves the Jews and feels affection toward them—even if he prays, performs Hajj, and gives zakat—his prayer, Hajj, and zakat will not be accepted. Because the Jews are the ones who harbor the greatest and most violent enmity toward Muslims.”

He further explained the end-times prophecy revealed by the Prophet (peace be upon him): “The Prophet (peace be upon him) said that in the end times, the Jews will follow the Dajjal (Antichrist), and the Muslims, following Hazrat Isa (Jesus), will destroy the Dajjal and his followers and send them to Hell.”
“If someone harbors enmity toward the Jews,” Kılıçarslan added, “this is a sign of faith in him. Whoever loves the Jews and Christians, this is a sign that they have departed from Islam.”
Kılıçarslan praised the massive turnout in Batman as a reflection of sincere devotion.
“Those who have come to this square have flocked here to show their love for Allah, the Prophet, and the Muslims. These kinds of events are held so that people do not forget Allah, the Prophet, and the believers.”
He reminded the faithful of the ultimate purpose of creation and revelation: “If we do not truly love Allah, who created us from nothing, whom else could we love? It is our Prophet Hazrat Muhammad who taught us about Allah. Until the Day of Judgment, we must obey the commands of Allah and His Messenger and follow his path.”
Concluding his address, Kılıçarslan shared a profound promise from the Prophet (peace be upon him) to those who hold his love in their hearts until death.
“These beautiful events are organized to increase the love and affection for the Prophet. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: ‘Whoever dies upon the love of the Prophet, on the Day of Judgment, the Prophet will be his intercessor.’”
As the Mawlid celebrations concluded, the tens of thousands in attendance left with renewed faith, carrying the light of the Prophet’s love back to their homes and communities—determined to live by his Sunnah and remain steadfast in the face of a world increasingly hostile to Islam. (ILKHA)
