Türkiye’s services producer price index surges 37.40% annually in June

The Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) reported a significant rise in the Services Producer Price Index (S-PPI) for June 2025, with a 37.40% annual increase and a 4.72% monthly uptick.
The index also rose by 27.15% compared to December of the previous year and by 45.79% on a twelve-month moving average.
Sector-specific data showed robust annual growth, with transportation and storage services up by 31.24%, accommodation and food services by 38.89%, information and communication services by 41.99%, real estate services by 37.07%, professional, scientific, and technical services by 49.68%, and administrative and support services by 42.15%.
On a monthly basis, the S-PPI for transportation and storage services increased by 4.44%, accommodation and food services by 7.37%, information and communication services by 2.28%, real estate services by 6.13%, professional, scientific, and technical services by 1.62%, and administrative and support services by 6.14%.
The sharp increases reflect ongoing inflationary pressures across Türkiye’s service sectors, with professional, scientific, and technical services showing the highest annual growth. (ILKHA)
