Türkiye's producer price index records remarkable 42.25% annual increase

Türkiye's domestic producer price index (D-PPI) increased by 42.25% year-on-year in November, the Turkish Statistical Institute said on Monday, driven by gains in manufacturing, mining and quarrying.
The D-PPI, which measures the prices of goods at the factory gate, rose by 2.81% from the previous month, the institute said.
Manufacturing prices increased by 54.11% year-on-year, while mining and quarrying prices rose by 65.49%.
Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning prices fell by 30.00% year-on-year, while water supply prices increased by 70.23%.
On a monthly basis, manufacturing prices rose by 2.26%, while mining and quarrying prices increased by 2.68%.
Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning prices rose by 10.99% month-on-month, while water supply prices increased by 1.91%.
The highest rates of monthly decrease in D-PPI by subdivisions of industry were the indices for coke and refined petroleum products by 3.52%, for crude petroleum and natural gas by 0.75%.
On the other hand, the highest rates of monthly increase in D-PPI by subdivisions of industry were indices for electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning by 10.99%, for metal ores by 6.15%, for tobacco products by 6.04%. (ILKHA)
