UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said that 400,000 civilians in East Guta live hell on earth, also called for a cessation of hostilities to enable humanitarian aid deliveries, and the evacuation of the sick and wounded.

While the Syrian regime continued its attacks in East Ghouta, where hundreds of people lost their lives, 1550 people were wounded; at least 310 people lost their lives during ongoing attacks since Sunday.

The organization of Doctors Without Borders, which is in the conflict area, reported that the attacks have resumed since November, that the number of injured persons in hospitals has increased dramatically in the last three days, that injuries cannot be cured. Most injuries cannot even come to hospitals to be treated, especially medical supplies such as blood bags, antibiotics, and anesthesia it is difficult to find.

United Nations (UN) Secretary-General Antonio Guterres called for the suspension of all military activities by stating that 400,000 civilians were "living hell on earth" because of the conflicts in East Ghouta.

Guterres said that the UN Security Council should fulfill its responsibility to find a political solution in Syria, "I believe Eastern Ghouta cannot wait. I am calling for the suspension of all military activities and the granting of humanitarian aid and medical evacuations."

The International Humanitarian Relief Agency spokesman Paul Donohoe said, "The greatest fear of recurrence in East Aleppo is that the progress of the army, the bombardment, and the scarcity rightfully shocked the world for the capture of East Aleppo, and now we are worried about seeing it begin."
