4.4-magnitude earthquake strikes Balıkesir’s Sındırgı district

A 4.4-magnitude earthquake jolted the Sındırgı district of Balıkesir, Türkiye, in the early hours of Wednesday, according to the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD).
The quake, which occurred at 06:46 local time, originated at a shallow depth of 10.12 kilometers.
No immediate reports of injuries or significant property damage have been recorded, but local authorities are closely monitoring the situation and have warned residents to remain vigilant for potential aftershocks.
