Erdoğan, Meloni discuss bilateral ties, global issues in phone call

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni held a phone call to discuss strengthening bilateral relations and addressing pressing regional and global issues, the Turkish Presidency announced.
During the conversation, Erdoğan reaffirmed Türkiye’s commitment to supporting efforts to end the Russia-Ukraine war. He expressed Ankara’s readiness to host peace negotiations and back initiatives aimed at achieving a just and sustainable resolution.
Stressing the need to capitalize on the current diplomatic momentum, Erdoğan urged the international community to intensify efforts to seize the emerging opportunity for peace and bring the conflict to a close. (ILKHA)
