Erdoğan receives Venezuela’s Acting President Delcy Rodríguez in Istanbul
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met with Venezuela’s Acting President Delcy Rodríguez at the Dolmabahçe Presidential Office in Istanbul on Monday.
Rodríguez, who is visiting Türkiye at the invitation of President Erdoğan, was welcomed with an official ceremony before the two leaders held talks.
The meeting brought together senior Turkish officials, including Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Energy and Natural Resources Minister Alparslan Bayraktar, Industry and Technology Minister Mehmet Fatih Kacır, and Trade Minister Ömer Bolat.
The discussions are expected to focus on bilateral relations between Türkiye and Venezuela, as well as opportunities to enhance cooperation in various fields, including trade, energy, industry, and investment.
Türkiye and Venezuela have maintained close diplomatic ties in recent years, with both countries seeking to strengthen economic cooperation and expand partnerships across multiple sectors.
The meeting at the Dolmabahçe Presidential Office underscored the commitment of Ankara and Caracas to further deepen their relations and explore new avenues of collaboration. (ILKHA)
