Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has returned to Türkiye following his participation in the G20 Leaders’ Summit in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Accompanying him were First Lady Emine Erdogan, Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Simsek, AK Party spokesperson Omer Celik, Communications Director Fahrettin Altun, and Presidential Advisor on Foreign Policy and Security Akif Cagatay Kilic.

During the summit, President Erdogan engaged in a series of bilateral and multilateral meetings with world leaders, including Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, French President Emmanuel Macron, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, Spanish Premier Pedro Sanchez, and Australian Premier Anthony Albanese.

He also held brief exchanges with U.S. President Joe Biden, Chinese President Xi Jinping, Mexico City Mayor Claudia Sheinbaum, South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol, Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi.

The G20 Leaders’ Summit serves as one of the most significant platforms for addressing global economic and political challenges. It provides an opportunity for the world’s major economies to discuss pressing issues such as economic stability, trade, climate change, and geopolitical tensions.

For Türkiye, the summit was an essential forum to enhance its diplomatic relations and advocate for its economic and political priorities.
