Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan hosted Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Ankara on Tuesday, marking a significant diplomatic encounter.
The meeting at the presidential complex was attended by several key Turkish officials, including Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, National Defense Minister Yasar Guler, Communications Director Fahrettin Altun, and Chief Foreign Policy and Security Adviser Akif Cagatay Kilic.
After their closed-door bilateral discussions, the agenda includes a working dinner with both countries' delegations, followed by an agreement-signing ceremony and a joint press conference.
Zelenskyy's visit to Türkiye is part of an extensive diplomatic tour aimed at fostering international relations. Before arriving in Ankara, Zelenskyy met with UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi. His next stop will be Saudi Arabia, continuing his efforts to engage with regional leaders.
This visit not only strengthens the bilateral ties between Türkiye and Ukraine but also emphasizes the importance of diplomacy in navigating regional and global issues. (ILKHA)
