Hope Caravan continues to deliver hot meals in earthquake-stricken southern Türkiye

Hope Caravan Foundation, along with sister organizations, is continuing to provide humanitarian aid to earthquake-affected people in Türkiye’s southern Hatay province.
The humanitarian aid campaign that was launched by Hope Caravan Foundation, European Orphan Hand, Orphans Foundation, and IHO EBRAR to aid people who were affected by the deadly earthquake in southern Türkiye and northern Syria continues in full swing.
Speaking to Ilke News Agency regarding their humanitarian aid efforts in Hatay, Hakan Ayçoban, an official of Hope Caravan Foundation, said: “We have been in the Iskenderun district of Hatay since the first day of the earthquake. Alongside our experienced volunteer cooks, we prepare meals for earthquake victims from the early hours of the morning until late in the evening. We distribute meals to approximately 7-8 thousand people daily. Our cooks get up early in the morning and make these preparations. They also work until late at night. Our brothers work voluntarily. May Allah be pleased with them."
On February 6, a violent earthquake with multiple aftershocks struck southern and central Turkey and northern and western Syria.
In total there have been at least 42,310 deaths across 10 provinces and an additional 108,000 people were injured in Türkiye.
Over 7,000 people were killed and 7,285 were injured in Syria.
At least 13.5 million people and 4 million buildings were affected. Thousands were trapped under rubble when buildings collapsed.
Leaders of many countries offered condolences to Turkey and Syria.
