HÜDA PAR calls for global action to end forced displacement

In a statement marking World Refugee Day, HÜDA PAR’s Human Rights and Legal Affairs Directorate emphasized that the ultimate goal in addressing the global refugee crisis must be the creation of a world where no one is forced to flee their home.
The statement described the dire circumstances faced by millions displaced by wars, occupations, persecution, and political oppression. “Today, we are looking at a picture of a world where millions of people are forced to leave the lands where they were born and raised,” HÜDA PAR said, noting that women, children, the elderly, and the sick are the most vulnerable victims of this crisis. The group emphasized that refugees often migrate not by choice but as a desperate bid for survival.
Criticizing the global response to the crisis, HÜDA PAR condemned many countries for focusing on deterring, deporting, or turning back refugees instead of offering legal protection. The statement called for a broader fight against the root causes of displacement, including injustices, wars, oppressive regimes, and exploitation policies.
“The real struggle is to build a world where people do not have to be refugees,” the directorate declared, pledging to continue advocating for a world grounded in law, conscience, and humanity where everyone can find refuge.
HÜDA PAR’s statement underscores the urgent need for global action to address both the plight of refugees and the systemic issues driving forced migration. (ILKHA)
